The Children’s Book Organisation for Tanzania (CBO) is fundamentally a member-based organization, with its vitality and effectiveness deeply rooted in the activeness and engagement of its members. This dynamic collective is composed of individuals and entities across four distinct membership categories: publishers, who are pivotal in the production and dissemination of children’s literature; writers and illustrators, who bring creativity and cultural relevance to the content; experts in education, who provide insights into effective teaching methodologies and curriculum integration; and patrons/matrons, who offer support and advocacy for the organization’s mission.

Publishers

These members are at the forefront of the book production process. Their involvement is crucial in ensuring that a diverse and engaging range of children’s books are brought to market, thus directly influencing the availability and quality of reading materials for children.

Authors & Illustrators

This group forms the creative backbone of the organization. Authors craft compelling stories that resonate with young readers, while illustrators bring these narratives to life through art, making each book a captivating and educational experience for children and young adults.

Professionals or Experts in the Education Sector
